The Project
The client required a full detailed design of all M&E services, and Robert Whetham Associates (RWA) was appointed directly by the client but formed part of the design team headed by the architects, Studio One.
Our Solution
Works were carried out to very a tight programme in spring/summer 2018. Whilst services were not concealed but were on view, they nevertheless had to be designed and installed neatly and safely. Our experienced designers worked closely with the contractors to ensure they had all the information, plans and drawings, to install all mechanical and electrical fixtures according to the latest guidelines, recommendations and standards. We ensured that quality was not compromised, and materials were fit-for-purpose notwithstanding the installation time constraints.
Solution Benefits
The project was finished on time and within budget and the new boutique bowling alley, with Italian restaurant and bar, was opened in time for the busy summer holidays in early July 2018.
As well as the 10-lane bowling alley on the first floor, the site now includes a games area with pool tables, darts, fussball, restaurant and bar area with seating for 200+ people. The development of the site has created more than 20 new jobs, incorporating management, kitchen, bar and waiting staff.
