Rob is a Chartered Engineer in the M&E services industry, he established RWA in 2003 aiming to combine cutting edge design with cost-effective, sustainable and energy-efficient services. Rob has worked on many engineering works and has carried out various overseeing of projects giving him experience of over 18 years in a wide range of sectors.

Rob’s particular interests are electrical power systems high voltage & low voltage networks, standby power generation, access control and CCTV systems. He is a member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology, CIBSE and is included on the CIBSE Low Carbon Consultants Register.

Yusuf Patel

Discipline(s): CAD / Revit Manager

Yusuf joined RWA in 2017 where he manages the CAD department, maintaining drawings to a superlative standard and working closely with the M&E engineers ensuring that client standards and design requirements are met.

With 9 years of experience, Yusuf began his career working for an Architectural practice where he carried out surveying, drawing up detailed layouts for domestic dwellings as well as creating and maintaining CAD blocks, details and Standards.

This kick-started his career as a CAD Technician, continually developing a keen eye for detail and precision with great proficiency whilst gaining further experience within the commercial, educational, healthcare and retail sectors. By 2015, he managed a team of CAD engineers working for a large company where he started using Revit and gained invaluable experience as a BIM Modeller.

Stuart Fenwick

Discipline(s): Electrical Engineering and Project Management

Stuart is a fully qualified Electrical Technician with 35 years’ experience within the electrical industry along with 18 years of Contract and Project Management experience within Facilities Management/Estates Management sectors. Stuart began his career within the Royal Air Force in 1984 where he trained as a Ground Electrical Technician.

During his 12 years of service, he carried out maintenance and refurbishment on generators and large motors as well as specialized airfield. In 1996, he worked as an electrician on new and refurbishment projects within the commercial, retail, educational and healthcare sectors and then went onto working as a building services engineer, working on planned preventive maintenance and refurbishment projects.

By 2001 Stuart moved into Contract Management/ Project Management where he managed large hard services facilities contracts in excess of 2.5 million and managing large teams in excess of 40 engineers. In the last two years his worked for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue reviewing their maintenance regimes and implementing new processes. Since joining RWA in 2018, he’s been working for as a projects manager overseeing maintenance and new works to a number of clients.

Ethan Lomax

Ethan began his mechanical career by undertaking a Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship with Rochdale Council. He assisted with and was responsible for mechanical drawings, statutory compliance contracts and mechanical queries on buildings across the borough.

Ethan joined Robert Whetham Associates in April 2023 as a Junior Mechanical Engineer, once he completed his apprenticeship with Rochdale Council. He has hit the ground running within the business where Ethan has designed many mechanical projects, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and adapting designs to fit client requests.

Often, Ethan goes to site to measure up specifications and assess project requirements, where he will then provide calculations and drawings.

Currently, Ethan is pursuing a HNC in Building Services Engineering on a day-release basis, allowing him to develop a deeper understanding of mechanical engineering applications and gaining practical experience.

Philip Kinsella

From graduate Engineer at John Laing in the late 70’s to Senior Engineer at British Aerospace in the 80’s and Director at Sir Frederick Snow & Partners (Manchester) in the 90’s Philip has been the Managing Director of GLP Consulting Engineers since 1996.

Philip has a wealth of experience in building services, heating & ventilation, mechanical services design, expert witness reports and sustainability spanning over 40 years. He is also an Accredited CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant in Design & Operation, Low Carbon Energy Assessor, TM44 Air Conditioning Inspector and ESOS Lead Assessor.

ONC Building Services, HNC Building Services, CAD Technician, Revit MEP.

Tim joined GLP in 2013 from DSSR Consulting Engineers as a Mechanical Design Engineer.  He has since built his way up through the company, to senior mechanical engineer and now Associate., Tim is an integral part of the team with his invaluable expertise in Building Services and Mechanical Design, as well as extensive CAD and Revit experience, and management of a number of our major London projects.

Secretary/Media Manager/CAD & Revit
Working at GLP since 2017 Charlotte plays a vital role in the day to day running of the office, from booking trains, planes & hotels for travel, keeping Director’s diaries and preparing reports.
With a natural flair for media, Charlotte manages our social media and website and is also trained in AutoCAD and Revit providing additional support for our CAD dept.

With an extensive background in PR, marketing and management, Andrea has been responsible for the Business Development of GLP for over 30 years.   She is also Financial Controller and Head of HR.   In working for the company for such a long time, she knows it inside out and constantly strives to improve its position within the marketplace and ensure that Clients, both new and existing are equally satisfied and happy.   Also at the forefront for Andrea is job satisfaction for all staff members, ensuring all staff can call on her at any time for advice and help.

Our director and team are experienced consulting engineers, having applied their various expertise from mechanical and electrical engineering through to project management.
