West Yorkshire needed assistance to refurbish their main lecture hall at their headquarters. The hall is used for training, presentations and promotional events.
The provision needed to be practical, energy efficient, “future proof” and contribute to the comfort and ease with which the facility could be used.
RWA provided advice, detailed plans and assisted in project managing the installation of a comfort cooling, heating and ventilation using an ‘envirofresh’ air handling unit. Also included within the theatre was a dimming system for the lighting that was integrated into the AV system so that it could be controlled from the lectern. The AV system included a main projection screen, an interactive whiteboard, video conferencing and sound system. All controlled from the lectern using a DMX control pad.
As well as contributing to the overall ease of use for the presenters using the theatre and the comfort of the audience, RWA’s recommendations ensured that the contract was completed on time and within budget. The “envirofresh” ventilation system will significantly contribute towards reducing West Yorkshires Fire Services carbon footprint.
