Following a past year of exciting new contract wins and consistent growth, Oldham consulting engineers, Robert Whetham Associates (RWA) has expanded its team of electrical engineers with the appointment of Lisa Kennedy (27).
Lisa, from Prestwich, has worked in electrical engineering for the past six years and joins RWA from another Manchester consultancy, Parker Wilson. She has extensive engineering experience particularly in the healthcare, retail and leisure sectors having worked on a number of high profile projects nationwide.
Despite a busy workload, last year Lisa also managed to complete a first class honours degree in Building Services and Sustainable Engineering for which she was recognised as Student of the Year at the University of Central Lancashire. She now plans to study for her Masters degree.
With ambitions to broaden her experience across many more industry sectors, Lisa is looking forward to working on a number of emergency services projects, with RWA actively involved in various fire station, police station and ambulance service contracts.
Director Robert Whetham said: “We’re delighted to have rounded off a good 2009 with Lisa’s appointment. She has already achieved a lot in her career to date and she will provide a valuable asset to our team and to some of the organisations we currently work with.”
